Anete Liepina

Anete Liepina was born in Latvia. She sang her first role in the Latvian State Opera at the age of 14, it was in Benjamin Britten’s opera “Noye’sFludde”, where she sang a role of Gossip Girl. In 2011 she went to Vienna and studied operetta at the MUK with Prof.Wolfgang Dosch, and singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, with univ. prof. Annamaria Rott and Viktoria Grois. Since then she has appeared on the stages of the “Herbsttage Blindenmarkt” in various performances, most recently in “Boccaccio” as Beatrice. She sang the role of Laura in “Bettelstudent”, the role of Anina in “Eine Nacht in Venedig” and the role of Rita in Paul Hertel’s worldpremiere “Die Rose des Kaisers” in Strasshof, Baden, Wiener Neustadt and in Vienna. Also in Vienna she sang the roles of Maria in “West Side Story”, Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel” as well as Pamina in “Magic Flute”, Gianetta in “E’lisir d`amore” and Musetta in “La Boheme”. In summer 2017 Anete Liepina sang the role of the Stasi in Emmerich Kalman’s “Die Csardaschfürstin” at the Kittseer Festival. In 2018 she toured Europe with Emmerich Kalman’s operetta “Countess Mariza” in the role of Lisa and in 2019/20 with Johan Strauss’operetta “The Bat” as Adele.
