Tugce Özyonar is the violist in the String Quartet in residence of InMuAs. She was born in Turkey, İzmir and started playing the violin at the age of 8. Some years later she switched to viola. Her viola career began in Bilkent University of Music and Performing Arts, Ankara and at that time she also became a member of the Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra.
In 2014 she began her bachelor’s degree at the Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna and finished it in 2019. Over the years she has attended many masterclasses with teachers such as Prof. Alexander Zemstsov, Naoko Shimizu, Prof. Tatjana Masurenko, Sema Hakioglu Celilova, Raphael Handschuh, Prof. Matthias Maurer, Prof. Ulrich Schönauer, Prof. Betilbaşegmezler, Prof. Herbert Müller, Prof. Wolfgang Klos, Atilla Aldemir, Prof. Constantin Stanciu, Sakine Saidova, Prof. Monten Carlsen, Carla Maria Rodrigues. Tugce has given concerts with various orchestras such as Orquestra Vigo 430, Muk Sinfonie Orchester, La Primavera Festival,Webern Symphony Orchestra, Valsassina Ensemble, Euphony Orchestra, Junge Philharmonie Wien, Ono New Music Orchestra,Orpheus Academy Orchestra, Wien Klang Sinfonietta.She also recorded several Netflix music and documentary soundtracks with the Synchron Stage Orchestra in Vienna.
In 2021 she completed her 2nd Bachelor’s degree and since February 2021 she has been studying for her diploma studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
Tugce will perform at “KlanglaborBrixenClassics 2021” as a violist and she will take part in many chamber music and orchestral projects.
